After nearly two weeks of pattern alterations, a muslin, sewing, fitting, alterations to the muslin, fitting, prayer, cutting the non-stretch denim, basting, more fitting, more sewing, again fitting, removing the triple stitch seams (ugggghhhhhhh), fitting one more time, prayer, tears, wine, and yet more sewing, I finally have a pair of denim Linden shorts! A million thanks to So Sew English for her sewalong videos. The pattern (from Sew a Little Seam) has so many options that it was great to be able to just focus on the denim shorts. I got this deliciously bright orange denim fabric from Cali Fabrics and the shirt is from The Read.
